Of luminous and glowing 18k yellow gold, this is the ultimate in padlock bracelets from the 19th century.

Thick oval links of gold, 21 of them, form a continuous, silky, cooler chain of sumptuousness. It even sounds rich, although subtle.

A rich heart-shaped padlock is set with a lovely, saturated red garnet and 3 chrysoberyl gems for accent. Oval and faceted, the garnet is dark and lovely, but with subtle flickering highlights to its interior.

At 10.5 x 9 mm, it is raised up prominently on the top of the love token. While the depth cannot be measured due to the construction, it has the look of at least a 3 carat garnet.

The three chrysoberyls possess that pale, yellow-green hue. They rest about "S" scrolls and repoussé gold.

Engraving adorns the front, and the reverse retains its original glass heart-shaped locket. Its interior shows off blue silk fabric.
